Nominate A Woman Who Deserves Recognition
We invite you to nominate women in your organization, church, family, and community who you feel deserve recognition for their tremendous impact and outstanding achievements. Your nomination guarantees recognition of your nominee at the event. Nominations for the 2013 event will be accepted in July 2013.
TO NOMINATE...After you begin a nomination, select a category that is appropriate for the deserving women you will be nominating. The six categories are:
- Achievements in Her Field—Accomplishments that go beyond a single company or organization and favorably contribute knowledge or benefit an entire industry, profession or field.
- Specific professional contributions—innovations, inventions, strategic problem solving
- Leadership displayed
- Educational background
- Professional recognition within the industry
- Long-term effect of nominee’s achievements on women to follow
- Community/volunteer involvement or other honors
- Growth and Accomplishments in Personal Life - Demonstration of accomplishments and/or obstacles overcome that have significantly enhanced honoree’s personal life and ability to help others.
- Accomplishments and/or obstacles overcome to succeed in personal life or community service environments
- Ways honoree has touched others through her personal growth
- Initiatives or projects brought to fruition through efforts of nominee
- Long-term effect of nominee’s achievements on women to follow
- Community/volunteer involvement or other honors
- Organizational Impact / For-Profit OR Non-Profit—Achievements or efforts of the honoree within her place of employment or volunteer environment that have significantly impacted the quality or enhanced the performance of the company or organization.
- Direct effect on profitability, market share or company standing
- Introduction of new or improvement of existing concept or system
- Positive impact on the workplace
- Development of others through education, training and mentoring
- Leadership and motivational skills displayed
- Long-term effect of nominee’s achievements on women to follow
- Community/volunteer involvement or other honors
- Service and Support to Community or Country—Contributions of time and effort made by the honoree within her place of employment or through personal / volunteer efforts to her community or country.
- History of service/personal time spent
- Leadership displayed
- Long-term effect that has enhanced the quality of life for members of the community
- Community/volunteer involvement or other honors
- Unsung Heroine - A behind-the-scenes person without whose efforts an enterprise could not have succeeded.
- Pride and persistence in work without expectation of recognition
- Consistent, quality, reliable effort
- Long term service or commitment
- “Hidden” expertise on company/organization business
- Community/volunteer involvement or other honors
AFTER YOU SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATION...Honoree Notification: Waypoint will be contacting all nominees in August to inform the women of their recognition at the Tribute to Women of Achievement event.
Event Invitations and Reservations: Event invitations will be mailed in August. Nominators are encouraged to send in the dinner reservation and dinner reservation fee for their nominees. Please ensure that on the dinner reservation card you include names of guests who would like to sit with your nominee. Cost is $85 per person, $680 for a table of eight, or $800 for a table of ten.
Honoree Reception: An informal reception will be held for nominees at Waypoint in September (exact date to be determined). At the reception, nominees will have their photograph professionally taken and will receive information about the Tribute evening.
Awards: Every woman nominated is guaranteed recognition at the event and one woman within each category will be selected by a panel of judges to be honored for the additional Outstanding Achievement Award. The names of the women receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award are confidential and will not be released until the night of the event.
