Denim Day
Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April)
Waypoint is proud to present Denim Day on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 – a campaign aimed to raise awareness about the dynamics of sexual violence. Waypoint encourages individuals, businesses, churches, organizations, and civic groups to participate and support sexual assault victims.
Here is how to get involved:
- Arrange a jeans day on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 and encourage participants to donate $1 to the Waypoint Sexual Assault Intervention Program.
- Provide participants with free "Why Denim?" buttons, supplied by Waypoint, to wear on Denim Day.
- Post Denim Day flyers.
- If you are an individual, contact Waypoint for a “Why Denim?” button, wear jeans, and educate others on why you chose to make a statement and take a stand.
