CurriculumFacility The facility is designed for safety and convenience. ParkRidge Kids was built in 2008 and provides the following features:
- Seven classrooms which are bright and colorful allowing the sunshine to provide natural lighting and space to encourage learning as a fun experience.
- Separate fenced-in outdoor areas for our infant/young toddlers and our toddlers/preschoolers providing our children with the age appropriate equipment and necessary boundaries to expand their mind, and allow them the freedom to explore.
- Large indoor active play area providing protection from rain, snow, and heat.
- Gross motor play is recommended at a minimum of one hour per day and our teachers have ample space between their classrooms, outdoor area, and indoor area to allow for this developmentally appropriate expression of fun!
- Access to walking trails and pond which encourages children to explore the outdoors, allows families to take their break from work and walk with their child, and allows for children to learn about nature in a hands-on experience.
- Keypad entry system
- Energy efficient facility featuring sensor controlled lights, energy-efficient windows and daylights in classrooms, highly efficient roof insulation, ground source heat pump and total heat recovery system, and water-conserving toilets. The facility received the Gold Leed Certification for new construction facilities that are eco-friendly and energy-efficient.
